Marie Johnson, Owner

Marie Johnson is the owner and founder of Colorado River Home Watch Corporation. A lifelong resident of Minnesota, Marie became an Arizona “snowbird” before moving permanently in 2015 to Lake Havasu City.

Marie has experienced the ups and downs of owning a second home. She’s had the pleasure of returning home to a clean house stocked with food. She has returned to Minnesota to find little critters in her basement. Marie once returned to an air conditioning failure that left the inside of the house over 100 degrees. She learned that relying on family or friends to check on your house can have its problems. “You can’t be upset with them for something they didn’t know how to do.”

Marie believes in helping people. She served as a police officer for more than 15 years before retiring at the rank of detective. She has a Bachelor’s Degree in Law Enforcement and a Master’s Degree in Police Leadership, Administration and Education. Her training and experience include Field Training Officer, Firearms Instructor, Use of Force Instructor and Fire and Arson Investigator. In Minnesota Marie owned and operated Marie’s Maintenance for several years, providing housekeeping, interior painting and handyman services. She is a Certified Home Watch Professional with the National Home Watch Association.

Marie’s hobbies include motorcycling, hiking, CrossFit and putting puzzles together. She volunteers for the Lake Havasu Marine Association.
